Turning Tool with high speed steel blade which gives a finer finish at high speed which cannot be obtained with carbon steel tools. Easy to sharpen to a keen edge which lasts many times longer than a conventional blade due to its outstanding resistance to abrasion and frictional heat. Forged in accordance with long established custom and practise these gouges are easy to sharpen and have special appeal to traditionalist wood turners.Spindle gouges are used for detailed shaping between centres particularly for concave curves.
